Born in a core-collapse supernova star explosion, Neutron stars subsequently rotate extremely rapidly as a consequence of their physics. Neutron stars can spin at a rate of 600 rotations per second… And while our stars will mostly be dealing in RPMs this Voyager NYE 2018, there are some significant parallels I’d like to draw your attention to in anticipation for this rapidly approaching intergalactic production.

All of space is completely silent.

Voyager NYE 2018 will not be silent.

If two pieces of the same type of metal touch in space, they will bond and be permanently stuck together.

It’s called cold welding. You are going to bond on our desert planet, too. You will find yourself hurdling into the new year not knowing where your friends begin and you end.

A year on Venus (that is the length of time it takes to complete one whole orbit around the Sun) is 224.7 Earth days. However, it takes 243 Earth days to rotate on its axis just once.

By my calculations, a set on Planet Pink will last approximately 9 intergalactic hours! You won’t have to worry about going to the bathroom and missing your favorite artists!

The Apollo 11 crew (the first to walk on the moon) had to be quarantined until it was decided that there were no deadly diseases resulting from a walk on the Moon.

Good news! We’ve gone ahead and confirmed beforehand a total and utter absence of deadly diseases on our dessert planet. And you won’t even have to quarantine yourself if you control your intake of moon juice and lunar dust.

Get your tickets asap!
